2022 Water Quality Report

The report is now available online or contact us for a copy.

In accordance with Kansas Rural Water Association and Kansas Department of Health & Environment, the City of Hiawatha is required to make available to the public the annual Water Quality Report (or Consumer Confidence Report-CCR) by July 1st of each year.

The Consumer Confidence Rule requires public water suppliers that serve the same people year round (community water systems) to provide consumer confidence reports (CCR) to their customers,  These reports are also know as annual water quality reports or drinking water quality reports.  The remaining public water systems in the United States are not required to provide CCRs, because they do not serve the same people on a day-to-day basis throughout the year.

The CCR summarizes information regarding sources used (i.e. rivers, reservoirs or aquifers) any detected contaminants, compliance and educational information.
