Permit & Inspection Fees

Effective April 20, 2007

 

Building Permit Fees Will Be As Follows:

$1000 to $2,000

 

$15

$2,001 to $25,000

 

$15 for the first $2,000 plus $2 for each $1,000 or fraction thereof to and including $25,000

$25,001 to $50,000

 

$61.00 for the first $25,000 plus $1.75 for each $1,000 or fraction thereof to and including $50,000

$50,001 to $100,000

 

$104.75 for the first $50,000 plus $1.50 for each $1,000 or fraction thereof to and including $100,000

$100,001 to $500,000

 

$179.75 for the first $100,000 plus $1.25 for each $1,000 or fraction thereof to and including $500,000

$500,001 to $1,000,000

 

$679.75 for the first $500,000 plus $1.00 for each $1,000 or fraction thereof to and including $1,000,000

$1,000,000 and up

 

$1,179.75 for the first $1,000,000 plus $0.50 for each $1,000 or fraction thereof

 

Electrical Permits:                  $10.00 for all work in excess of $1,000 in material and labor costs.

 

Electrical Inspections:            $10.00 for initial inspection, $5.00 for subsequent inspections

 

Plumbing Permits:                  $10.00 for all work in excess of $1,000 in material and labor costs.

 

After Hours Inspection:          $30.00 per hour with a minimum two hour charge.

 

Construction Plan Review:       fees will be equal to the cost billed to the City of Hiawatha for the completion of the work.
