City Clerk Position Announcement

The City of Hiawatha, KS is looking for qualified candidates who are positive, outgoing and energetic to fill the City Clerk position. Duties may include but are not limited to: All financial accounting and reporting for the city, payroll, agenda preparation, record keeping, and any other duties as required. This person will also have superior customer service skills, an accounting and financial background, possess excellent computer and communications skills. The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure will also be an asset. Required education is a high school diploma or equivalent, Associate or Bachelor Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field preferred. Prior experience in municipal accounting, budgeting, financial and office management is preferred. City Clerk certifications or willingness to obtain within an allotted timeframe a bonus.
