HES 3rd Graders visit City Hall
3rd Grade Student Commission
The 3rd Grade classes from Hiawatha Elementary School visited City Hall on Friday May 2nd. The kids were given an overview of how City government works and had the opportunity to proclaim two resolutions.
The first resolution declared May 2nd City Hall day for the 3rd graders. The second resolution declared that all students on the field trip would get a piece of candy. The commission made up of students from Mrs. Jones and Mrs Glathar voted not to allow the students to have the Candy.
Since the students were so well behaved though Administrator Ladner let the kids have the candy before they left.
