Crosby Gernon currently serves on staff at the Hiawatha Community Hospital and as an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is married to Jill Gernon and they have four children: Erin, John, Summer, and Matthew.

Bill moved to Hiawatha in 1968. He is married and has 4 children and 9 grandchildren. He enjoys woodworking and gardening. He has served on the Hiawatha City Commission since 1992.
Vicki Denton, Streets & Parks - May 2007- 2010
Vicki Denton graduated from North Central High School in Morrowville, KS. She served in the Army in communications and as a Career Counselor. She retired in 1997.
Vicki worked for the Riley County School system and was also the Assistant City Clerk for Riley, Kansas for 18 months. Vicki moved to Hiawatha in 2005, and currently works for the Brown County Treasurer’s Office. She has two sons attending Hiawatha schools.

John Sheeran, Utilities - May 2007-2010
John Sheeran has lived in Hiawatha since 1980, moving here from Iowa. He graduated from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS, with a BS in Education, and from Wichita State University with a BS in Physical Therapy. John has taken additional course work from Iowa Western Community College, Highland Community College, and Wichita State University, where he obtained his Respiratory Therapy Certification. He has been a physical therapist for 32 years and currently is co-owner of STARS, Inc. (Sheeran Thompson Allied Rehabilitation Services).
John and his wife, Michelle, have 7 children and 10 grandchildren: Chris & Jennifer Sheeran, Wichita; Jenny & Steve Ostrom, Ellie, Sarah & Luke, Wichita; Michael & Roxie Sheeran, Isaac, Ayden & Collin, Wichita; Katie & Ben Kettler, Molly, Elizabeth, Abby & Connor, Hiawatha; Patrick Sheeran, Kansas City; Mallory Sheeran, Wichita; and Danny Sheeran, currently in Marines basic training in San Diego, CA.
